USA:Nielsen- What watching morning TV says about you
How much Matt Lauer do you watch? It may say something about how smart you are. According to a study by Nielsen, well-educated viewers watch much less morning and late-night TV.
Nielsen discovered that homes where the head of household completed four or more years of college, the household took in an average of 48 minutes of morning television. Those households with high school being the highest level of education watched one hour and 16 minutes of morning TV, a 50 percent increase.
As for the "Tonight Show" set, households run by an adult who completed four years of college watch a nightly average of 52 minutes of late-night television. Homes where the head of household had a high school education spent one hour and 13 minutes watching similar programming.
