More Shuffle At FIC Following ESPN Buyout

After News Corporation's acquisition of ESPN, Fox International Channels has made further shuffles in leadership for the business, moving recently appointed lead Peter Hutton into another role.

As of early last year, News Corporation bought Disney's 50% stake in ESPN Star Sports, then chose to drop the ESPN brand and re-market the business as Fox International Channel (FIC) Asia's sports division.

The move saw Manu Sawhney, managing director of ESS, step down from the group after 16 years and then SVP of sports for Fox International Channels Peter Hutton moving to take on Sawhney's role.

Now FIC has moved Hutton into a regional role in sports, covering Asia Pacific and the Middle East.

According to a press statement, Hutton will be focusing on content acquisition and development of local content, as well as ensuring the integration of the APAC sports operations with the rest of News Corporation's sports businesses globally.

As for the old ESS business, or now FIC Asia's sports division, it will be headed by Simeon Dawes along with Yvonne Tay and Rohit D'Silva, who have been tasked to integrate the Singapore operations with the rest of FIC's business. Dawes was previously senior vice president of Fox One Stop Media while Tay was vice president, and territory head, Singapore. D'silva was general manager, Middle East, FIC. read more http://www.marketing-interactive.com/news/39338
