Yes TV lands Asian NFL rights
The National Football League (NFL) has signed a multi-year distribution deal with Hong Kong-based media group Yes TV.
GoalTV, jointly owned by Yes and Malaysian pay-TV giant Astro, will start seeking advertising and sponsorship partners soon.
NFL is not a hugely popular sport in Asia, but Lloyd Chao, president of Yes TV, said the deal will allow American football to piggyback the popularity of soccer in the region.
